I named my daughter Khadeejah. On her 5th birthday, I built a company honouring Islam’s first businesswoman.
The First Businesswoman in Islam
Khadijah bint Khuwaylid RA was a merchant before she was a Prophet's wife.
She hired Muhammad ﷺ before the revelation came — because she recognised integrity. She was wealthy, respected, and generous, yet she used her wealth for something far greater than herself.
When I started The Khadeejah of Kashmir, I made a decision: every business principle we follow must be something she would have recognised.
Principles She Would Have Known
- No deception in our product descriptions — because honesty was her trademark.
- Fair payment to every artisan before their product is sold — because she honoured labour.
- Artisan privacy protected — their craft goes to the world, not their address.
- No aggressive sales tactics, ever — because dignity was her currency.
- Quality that earns repeat customers, not discounts that force one-time buyers — because trust outlasts any promotion.
"Islamic commerce isn't a niche. It is a superior model — rooted in truth, justice, and barakah."
Faith in Every Transaction
Khadijah RA did not separate her faith from her trade. She understood that Allah witnesses every contract, every promise, every piece of wool sold and every worker paid. That is the legacy we are reviving.
At The Khadeejah of Kashmir, we are building more than a marketplace. We are proving that Islam elevates everything it touches — including commerce.
When you support us, you are not just buying a product. You are honouring a Prophetic sunnah of trade, a mother of the believers, and a way of doing business that pleases Allah.
